Prudent Care Tam
I used a variation on a pattern stitch that I really like in a few different ways in the upcoming tam patterns. This is the most lacy version, so it is the lightest and uses the least yarn. As with all of these, I knit it with my own handspun, but any 200-plus-yard ball of worsted-weight yarn (like Cascade 220) should work very well for it, and have leftover yarn to boot.
Chat
It was so great talking with Deborah. We chatted about the Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook, what it was like to make such a large project, the connections between sheep and Tay Sachs Disease, and a whole lot more. The Skype connection did sometimes go a little funny, but there is a lot of great information to hear, so I hope you stick through it.
