What a difference a couple weeks makes.
Not that they're yet playing to their potential, but considering all the injuries and the schedule they are having to endure, that's pretty good.
"It's a tough stretch of games coming up. We have a pretty busy schedule before Christmas. Everyone is working hard," said Josh Brittain, who had a hat trick in Wednesday's 7-3 victory over Kalamazoo.
"We're doing the right things off the ice. Everyone is practicing hard. Our team right now is really pulling our game together and making sure we're doing the right things on and off the ice."

Brent Henley has a penalty in 11 straight games. That's the longest such streak in the league this season. Daniel Maggio has one in eight straight, tied for the third-longest run.
This weekend will be a bit of a homecoming for goalie Kenny Reiter, who hails from Pittsburgh. The Komets play at Wheeling, W.Va., on Saturday, about an hour from his home.
I doubt we will see any players, including Colin Chaulk or Eric Giosa, return to the lineup this weekend. Why push it?
