Meth lab seized at lake home; 4 detained

Three adults and a juvenile were arrested on drug-related charges early Wednesday after police attempted to serve a warrant at a Pleasant Lake home.

About 3 a.m., officers from the Steuben County Sheriff's Office and Indiana State Police went to the residence and report finding illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia commonly associated with methamphetamine. The sheriff's department said a meth lab was found in a camper.

A statement issued by Sheriff Tim Troyer said the following adults were arrested:

  • Tracia Handshoe, 33, of Pleasant Lake, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine.
  • Joshua Crager, 42, of Corunna, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine.
  • Jared Pease, 20, of Fremont, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
The Ashley Police Department and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team assisted at the scene.

Further information about the juvenile was not immediately available.
