Two Pistons and a Porter

Detroit Pistons rookies Khris Middleton and Kim English have been assigned to the Mad Ants and will play in the Ants' next three home games, beginning this weekend.

In addition, the Ants acquired former Auburn forward Chris Porter. To make room for Porter, the Ants waived veteran center Sean Sonderleiter.

Middleton is a 6-foot-7 forward from Texas A&M who played three games with Detroit this season, averaging 1.3 points.

English, a 6-6 guard who played at Missouri, averaged 3.2 points in 10 games with the Pistons.

Porter is a 6-7 forward who averaged 14.6 points and 7.3 rebounds as a senior at Auburn. He was drafted in the second round of the 2000 NBA draft by Golden State and played 51 games with the Warriors.

Porter has joined the team for tonight's game in Canton, Ohio.
