Indiana's presidential electors will meet Monday in the Indiana House at 10 a.m. to officially cast their votes.

Allen County GOP Chair Steve Shine is among the electors who will be attending the event, though he concedes he is less excited than he hoped.

Though he gets to "vote" for Republican Mitt Romney, who won Indiana, the presidency went to Democrat Barack Obama.

Indiana has 11 presidential electors.

According to the Indiana Secretary of State, Indiana has never had a "faithless" elector. Each individual has voted for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates to whom they were pledged.

The first woman to serve as an Indiana presidential elector was Mary Agnes Sleeth, an "at large" elector in 1924. Sleeth was a farmer and life-long resident of Rush County.

Reid M. Dugger of Franklin served as an Indiana presidential elector six times, more than any other individual: (1940, 1944, 1948, 1952, 1956, and 1960).
