Statement as issued at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday by the state police:
The Indiana State Police is currently investigating a two vehicle crash involving a box truck and passenger car that occurred this afternoon at approximately 3:20 p.m. on southbound I-69 at the 314.5 mile marker. The box truck is on its side and there is lane blockage. At this time, there is one lane open and traffic is being routed through slowly. Motorists are advised and encouraged to avoid this area as crews will be on scene completing their investigation and clean up for approximately the next one and one half hours.
