NW Ohio river flooding options to be discussed

FINDLAY, Ohio – Federal officials are set to roll out flood-control options for the Blanchard River in northwest Ohio.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is holding public meetings this week in Findlay and Ottawa to talk about how to stop flooding there.

They’ll also go into how much some of the options might cost.

Flood prevention has become a top priority along the Blanchard River where there have been five major floods since 2007.

Officials hope to come up with a final plan and line up funding within the next few years.
