  • K's leading after 2
After two periods at Memorial Coliseum, the Komets lead the Reading Royals 2-1 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The series is tied at 1.
  • Good start for K's
It certainly wasn't the most exciting period I've ever seen, but it was a successful one for the Komets. They got the only goal at Memorial Coliseum and outshot the Reading Royals 14-12.
  • Ouellet back for K's
The Komets will have Dean Ouellet back tonight for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Reading Royals. He missed the last 17 games with a concussion.

Update on Smith, Chaulk

Centers Brett Smith and Colin Chaulk are both questionable to return to the Komets' lineup Wednesday against the Kalamazoo Wings at Memorial Coliseum.

Smith, who has missed four games in a row with a groin injury, seems like he's closer to being able to go than Chaulk, the captain, who has missed two with a shoulder injury.

Both will be able to make a better determination after skating Tuesday.
