Meth, stolen guns found in minivan

Miller

A Fort Wayne man was arrested in Steuben County after a tip led officers to find methamphetamine and stolen guns in a minivan parked in a secluded area, police said.

Steuben County deputies were called to a wooded area on County Road 600 West, north of County Road 200 South, in Jackson Township just after 8 a.m. Wednesday. They found Scotty L. Miller, 33, and a 1999 Chrysler Voyager, the sheriff’s department said.

Miller had what deputies believe was meth and items commonly used to make the drug, as well as several guns and other items that had been reported stolen from a LaGrange County home near Wolcottville, police said.

Miller was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with a firearm and a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held on $22,505 bail.
