About 3 p.m. Thursday the Rev. Bill McGill looked out of his window and pondered that it was the 37th day of his 40-day fast to draw attention to violence in the community, and there had been no civilian-on-civilian homicides in Fort Wayne.A stuffed Smurf doll was blown up in an Angola neighborhood Sunday night, and police are asking anyone who finds a stuffed doll to call them, just in case.
The investigation is in its initial stages, detective Tim Crooks said Monday, adding that police aren’t sure whether it was meant to scare someone or was a prank.
He confirmed the doll was blown apart at an intersection in a neighborhood on city’s north side on Sunday evening.
No injuries or damage were reported.
