  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Mastodons trail at half

Valparaiso scored on a rebound basket with 15 seconds remaining to take a 34-32 halftime lead over IPFW in the women's basketball game at the Gates Center on Tuesday.

Lexi Miller's put-back of Tabitha Gerardot's miss gave the Crusaders the halftime lead.

Junior Amanda Hyde is 5 of 9 from the floor and leads IPFW with 12 points.

Gerardot, the Canterbury product, leads Valpo with 11.

Both teams are shooting over .500 from the floor. Valparaiso is 14 of 27 for 52 percent, and the Mastodons own the same percentage on 12 of 23 shooting.
