Terone Johnson leads Boilermakers past Lamar

Terone Johnson had 16 points and seven rebounds as Purdue defeated Lamar 72-39 Tuesday at Mackey Arena.

A.J. Hammons added 13 points and five rebounds as the Boilermakers improved to 4-4.

Anthony Johnson scored 11 points. Fort Wayne native Rapheal Davis and Sandi Marcius scored seven points.

Purdue held Lamar to 30.4 percent shooting from the floor (17 of 56).

The Cardinals, coached by former Indiana player Pat Knight, fell to 1-7.
