Inaugural activities unveiled

Gov.-elect Mike Pence is having three days of inaugural activities in January, according to a schedule released Monday.

A family fun day will complement the traditional inaugural ball and ceremony.

"We want every Hoosier to have an opportunity to take part in the upcoming inaugural events," said incoming First Lady Karen Pence. "With free activities from our Family Fun Day to the Inauguration Ceremony, we want this inaugural weekend to have something for everyone from every corner of the state. Mike and I look forward to joining Hoosiers at each event to mark this special occasion in the life of our state."

At all inaugural events, staff will be accepting donations to the Midwest Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to any of the events listed below.
