Jasick credits crowd

In the immediate glow of IPFW's 57-56 victory over Mid-American Conference opponent Miami of Ohio on Saturday, IPFW's second-year coach Tony Jasick credited the play of his team, certainly, but said the crowd of 3,033 inside Memorial Coliseum made a difference.

"No. 1, our guys have a lot of fight. We'll fight ya," Jasick said.

"And then I thought our students, the band, and our students section was the best it's been in my eight years here. I thought they were absolutely phenomenal.

"And then I also thought the third group - I hate to call them the general fans - but the general fan who came out tonight, all three parties were heavily involved in our win (Saturday). This was a fun place to play (Saturday)."
