Well, here's your BCS lineup, boys and girls -- featuring, as expected, Notre Dame-Alabama in the BCS title game.
Biggest news here, of course, is Northern Illinois cracking the BCS lineup to play Florida State in the Orange Bowl. It'll the first time a MAC school has ever played in a BCS game, and the school that pays the price is Oklahoma, which lost out on a Sugar Bowl berth because of the domino effect of Northern taking a BCS spot.
Elsewhere we get a five-loss Wisconsin team vs. Stanford in the Rose Bowl, Florida vs. Louisville in the Sugar Bowl and Kansas State vs. Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl.
I know which one I find most DVR-worthy. And it's not even close.
Kansas State-Oregon is the one you want to see here while you're waiting for the only game that matters, ND-'Bama. It's two one-loss teams that have been in the top five most of the season -- and who doesn't want to see Collin Klein vs. Chip Kelly's nuclear offense, which averaged more than 50 points per game this season?
The scoreboard could stroke out before this one's finished. I call the over-under north of 100 points.
As to the rest of the lineup ... with the exception of the novelty of seeing a MAC school in a BCS game, it's remarkably pedestrian. In fact, I can't recall seeing a more so-so BCS bowl lineup. Unless you're a fan of one of the schools, Florida-Louisville, Stanford-Wisky and Florida State-NIU excites exactly no one.
Or maybe that's just because the prospect of Notre Dame vs. Alabama for all the coinage excites almost everyone.
