Do it Best Corp. has promoted Mike Post to merchandise manager in its home décor category. Post is an 11-year veteran of Do it Best, including extensive work in the co-op’s merchandising department, first as an assistant merchandise manager in farm and ranch and most recently as an associate in building specialties, a position he’s served in the past five-plus years.

Hallmark Home Mortgage has hired Brenda Aspling as a compliance officer. She has experience with state and federal compliance requirements, having studied the laws and regulations in 25 states. Aspling previously worked as an operations manager for a mortgage company. Steve Newell has also been hired as a SVP servicing manager. He began his career in the mortgage banking industry at Waterfield Mortgage and spent six years working with a global financial services company. Chris Smith has also been hired as mortgage loan originator.

Kimberly Trombley joined Bethesda Lutheran Communities as a ministry consultant to Bethesda’s partners in northern Indiana and Michigan.

Andrew Coolidge, executive vice president of moving services operations for SIRVA Inc., was named to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Coolidge will represent Allen County.

Robb and Tammy Robertson have opened The Maids, a residential cleaning franchise that specializes in cleaning for health with environmentally preferable products. David Nugent, partner at BND Commercial, was recognized by the National Association of Realtors with a 2012 National Commercial Award. Jeremy Ringger will be promoted from vice president of operations to president. The company has also hired Jason Gerber as project engineer and Rick Cox as project manager. Gerber has five years of experience and Cox has 24 years of experience.
