Oladipo, Sheehey lead Hoosiers past Coppin State

Victor Oladipo had 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and six assists as No. 1 Indiana defeated Coppin State 87-51 Saturday at Assembly Hall.

Will Sheehey had 14 points and six rebounds. Christian Watford had 10 points and seven rebounds. Remy Abell added 10 points as the Hoosiers improved to 8-0.

Indiana started slowly, missing its first nine shots. Indiana then made 6 of its next 9 to take a 19-13 lead.

IU closed the first half on a 14-3 run to lead 33-19 at halftime.

Coppin State (1-6) got within 37-28, but the Hoosiers responded with a 9-1 run.

IU shot 64 percent from the floor in the second half.
