Suspended Gaines to return

IPFW leading scorer Frank Gaines was suspended for one game for "conduct detrimental to the program" according to university associate athletic director and SID Bill Salyer.

Gaines, the senior guard who leads the basketball team with a 20.7 scoring average, did not play in IPFW's 54-49 loss Wednesday at Navy, but made the trip with the team. He is expected to play Saturday when the Mastodons play host to Miami, Ohio, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum.

Although Gaines did not play Thursday, it marked the return of 6-foot-8 forward Michael Kibiloski, who missed the early part of the season with a knee injury. Kibiloski scored seven points and had six rebounds in 23 minutes.
