The Komets' 4-3 victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators was the 5,000th game in franchise history, including the playoffs.

Fort Wayne is 2,325-1,737-445 in the regular season and 257-226-10 in the postseason. (Yes, there were ties in the postseason some years in the old IHL.)
