OK, so we already know Texans love their petitions.

Now there's a new one afoot, and -- as with the Texas secessionists -- it's obvious its instigators haven't fully thought this through.

Three observations now, as a group of Cowboys fans petition President Obama to, please, for God's sake, do something about Jerry Jones:

1. Some of the same people inclined to sign the Get Rid Of Jerry petition likely would be inclined to sign the Texas Says "Stick It, America" petition.

2. Which means they're hoping Texas is allowed to secede from the Union.

3. Which also means, if that were to happen, their first petition would be fruitless, because if Texas were to secede, doing something about Jerry Jones would no longer be in Obama's jurisdiction.

To quote Biff Tannen in "Back to the Future": "Think, McFly! Think!"
