The Komets have waived Colten Hayes and sent Mike Hoban back to Dayton of the Federal Hockey League.
They are expecting at least one player, including a forward, to be sent from Norfolk of the American Hockey League before Wednesday's game at Gwinnett, Ga.
Komets general manager David Franke, meanwhile, is not pleased with the way the Komets have been playing. He has been scouring the free-agent wires for players.
"I don't think anybody should really feel secure," Franke said. "We like to win. And we're not winning now. We're not playing hard fort three periods or playing Komet hockey for three periods."
Meanwhile, I don't personally think the venue has had much to do with the Komets' recent woes, but sometimes getting away from Fort Wayne does them some good.
