    WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue has signed a high school point guard from Indianapolis after two-year starter Ronnie Johnson decided to transfer.

    Purdue women's basketball forward Liza Clemons, a former Elmhurst and Snider standout, is one of four recipients of the Brady Sports Achievement Award, which honors Indiana student-athletes who have overcome injury or hardship.

Short named 1st-team All-Big Ten

Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short was named first-team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media on Monday. Cornerback Josh Johnson was named second-team by the media, Ricardo Allen was named second-team by the coaches.

Safety Landon Feichter, a Bishop Dwenger graduate, was joined on the honorable mention media list by Allen, wide receiver Antavian Edison and punter Cody Webster. Webster, Edison and Johnson were on the coaches honorable mention list.
