Powerball reaches $425 million

Hoosier Lottery officials are reporting the largest jackpot in the history of the Powerball game at $425 million for Wednesday's drawing.

No one Saturday matched all six numbers in the drawing, leading to the record jackpot figure, a news release from the Hoosier Lottery said.

The only other time a North American lottery jackpot crossed the $400 million mark was eight months ago when the MegaMillions went as high as $656 million, officials said in a news release.

There were 56,513 Powerball tickets sold in Indiana for Saturday's drawing that were prize winners, including more than 250 tickets that matched at least four of the six winning numbers. Those six numbers were: 22-32-37-44-50 with a PowerBall of 34.

Indiana lottery players can purchased tickets for Wednesday's drawing until 9:58 p.m. Wednesday, the agency said.
