Anthony Wayne Rotary participated in The Dictionary Project and distributed 1,975 dictionaries to third-grade students in Title 1 schools in the Fort Wayne Community, East Allen, Northwest Allen and Southwest Allen school districts. Teachers also received copies of the book.
The Kroger Co.’s northeast Indiana stores will conduct its Coats 4 Kids campaign through Dec. 9. Donations of new or gently used coats, gloves, mittens, scarves and hats can be placed in bins outside Kroger or Scott’s stores. The items will then be cleaned and distributed in the local community.
