In the previous meeting between the Komets and Toledo Walleye, Daniel Maggio got a game misconduct and then a suspension for cross-checking Byron Froese in the face.

Early in tonight's game, Maggio fought Joey Ryan.

Two problems ...

First, Maggio got a game misconduct for removing equipment before fight.

And shortly after the fight, Froese set up Terry Broadhurst for a goal and a 1-0 Walleye lead.
