New library books

The following new books on interior design are available in the Art, Music & Media Department of the Allen County Public Library.

•“Simple Sustainable Style: Ways to Make Your House Your Home” by Randy Florke

Florke explores his “three muses” of design – comfort, economy and color – and presents examples of rooms that radiate charm. Anyone hoping to transform a home from ordinary to extraordinary will find thrifty and stylish ways to design, plus numerous “quick fix” sections with cheap solutions to common problems.

by Diane Keaton

Inventive designers use their talents to reveal the hidden beauty of old, disused and antiquated buildings. Industrial structures, farm buildings, crumbling commercial lofts and rusting hangars are transformed.

•“Paint & Color” by Jeanne Huber

Learn how to choose color palettes, paint furniture and faux headboards, wallpaper accent walls, hang fabric and more.

•“Seductive Interiors” by Sera Hersham-Loftus

Her home is one of the most popular locations for fashion, celebrity, and interior photo shoots; this book shows why. Elegantly Bohemian, somewhat hedonistic, definitely edgy.

•“Decorating: the Smart Approach to Design” by Kathie Robitz

Robitz guides the reader on creating color palettes, choosing the best furnishings for spaces, selecting window treatments, and arranging art and accessories with flair.
