IPFW vs. Judson

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Memorial Coliseum

Records: IPFW 2-3, Judson 2-6

Radio: 1380 AM

IPFW leaders: Frank Gaines (23.6 ppg), Mario Hines (7.4 rpg), Pierre Bland (3.0 apg)

Judson leaders: Luke Pearson (10.0 ppg), Jason Roy (7.8 rpg), Bob McCarthy (4.9 apg)

Key matchup: There isn’t an individual matchup to watch, but keep an eye on how Judson adjusts to the IPFW defensive pressure. Pearson, a 6-foot guard from Lebanon, is the only player who averages in double figures, and he could conceivably have trouble against the aggressive IPFW guards.

The skinny: This could be a weary IPFW team. The Mastodons played three games in three days in the EMU “Ice Man” Classic in Ypsilanti, Mich., where they won one game and lost two. IPFW is beginning to get a little more offensive help for senior swingman Frank Gaines, who averages 23.6 points. Transfers Luis Jacobo and Kevin Harden are both averaging 8.4.
