Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert, a Bishop Dwenger graduate, and linebacker Manti Te'o are finalist for end-of-the-year awards that will handed out during the Home Depot College Awards show, which will be televised on ESPN on Dec. 6.

Eifert is a finalist for the John Mackey Award, given to the top tight end, for a second year in a row.

The senior has 40 receptions for 555 yards with four touchdowns this season.

Te'o is a finalists for the Chuck Bednarik Award, top defensive player of the year, and the Maxwell Award, player of the year.

Te'o has a team-high 98 tackles with 5 ½ for loss, 1 ½ sacks, six interceptions and two fumble recoveries this season.
