Sunday review

Fort Wayne's power play now ranks 17th in the ECHL with an efficiency of 15.2 percent.

The penalty kill is 11th at 83.6 percent.

The Komets have given up four short-handed goals, third most in the 23-team league, and scored three, seven most in the ECHL.

In Alaska, Tom Mele has five goals and nine points in 15 games, but he's minus-4. Chris Haltigan, released by the Komets in training camp, has two goals and four points in 11 games. Dustin Molle is scoreless in seven games.

David Starenky has played in his first game for Ontario, after getting released by Toledo.

In the Southern Professional Hockey League, Gary Graham's Pensacola Ice Flyers are 5-2-1. Patrick Knowlton has four goals and seven points. Leo Thomas has three goals and six points, and he's minus-3. I just noticed they have Eddie Effinger, a left wing, who I'm pretty sure is Charlie's brother. Eddie has one assist in two games. He played five games with Quad City last season.

Here's a player I'd take a look at: Tommy Lange, who has three goals and eight points for Mississippi. He used to tear it up with Kalamazoo, and I don't think he's a veteran.
