    The Fort Wayne District of the Indiana State Police announced Wednesday that troopers will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Noble County during the late evening on Friday and into the early morning hours of Saturday.

    A Fort Wayne man robbed a Walgreens and right afterward shaved his beard in a Target bathroom in an apparent attempt to elude police, according to court documents.

Crash snarls northbound I-69

Northbound Interstate 69 was closed Friday morning in Huntington County because of a crash involving several vehicles.

Update: As of 10:34 a.m., the right lane remained closed.

The Indiana State Police said shortly after 8:30 a.m. that the road was closed at the 290-mile marker.

It said that the Indiana Department of Transportations would be be diverting northbound traffic onto U.S. 224 at exit 286.

INDOT's website said at 9 a.m. that a tractor-trailer rig overturned three miles north of Markle and that only emergency vehicles were permitted in the area.
