The No. 4-ranked Panthers (14-0) advanced to the Class 5A state championship game Friday with a 42-39 victory over Merrillville (11-3).
Snider's return to the championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium inIndianapolis marks the first time since the 2004-05 season, when it lost to Warren Central, 35-23.
Overall, it will be the fifth championship game appearance for Snider, which won the state title in '92-'93 with a 24-21 victory over Ben Davis.
