Quinn Cook’s throwing arm isn’t usually the launch point for the Bishop Luers offense. But it was Friday night as Luers beat Andrean 35-21 to advance to its fourth straight Class 2A state championship game.
Cook’s 30-yard touchdown pass to Michael Rogers with 35 seconds left in the first quarter put the Knights on the scoreboard, and Andrean never caught up thereafter. It was a classic example of the way Luers won the game; five different players scored, and six different ballplayers contributed to the Knights’ 334 rushing yards.
"Everybody stepped up and played well," Luers coach Steve Keefer said.
