Mo makes it official

Well, it's official. Mo Evans is a Mastodon.

Does that make him a Mostodon?

Whatever.

Evans, a 6-foot-1 point guard at Indianapolis Cathedral, sat at a table on his high school basketball court and signed a national letter of intent that will bring him to IPFW next season to play basketball.

The more I read about Evans, the more I realized what a find he is for IPFW.

Several of the college rating services had him as one of the top guards in the state, and most tout his ability to pass the basketball.

Unless current IPFW members Isaiah McCray or Pierre Bland come around and play well this season, Evans could be the starting point guard next season.

IPFW travels to Ypsilanti, Mich. this weekend to play three games in three days. Friday, it will play Texas-Pan American, Saturday it will play host Eastern Michigan, and Sunday it will play Eastern Illinois.

Steve Warden blogs all things IPFW.
