Verbatim: Fort Wayne man involved in DeKalb County crash

From a report received Wednesday night from the DeKalb County Police Department:

Late Wednesday afternoon, Travis S. Dry of Fort Wayne was southbound on State Road 1 at the intersection of State Road 8. Dry stated after stopping at the stop sign, he proceeded to cross SR8 and did not see Jason T. Curry, of Garrett, who was traveling eastbound on SR8.

Curry advised he slammed on the brakes, however, he was unable to avoid collision.

Dry’s truck sustained damage to the right front and Curry’s SUV sustained damage to the left side.

Curry complained of neck pain after the accident and was driven to a local hospital by a family member. He was released from the hospital with a neck contusion.
