Purdue has big lead at halftime

Purdue leads Hofstra 42-17 at halftime Sunday at Mackey Arena.

Sandi Marcius and Ronnie Johnson both have seven points to lead Purdue. Jacob Lawson has six points, three rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot.

Johnson also has five assists.

Purdue shot 55.9 percent from the floor and had a 24-7 rebounding edge. Hofstra shot 23.8 percent in the half. Purdue has 20-2 advantage in bench points. The Boilermakers have scored 18 points off of Hofstra's 12 turnovers.

Terone Johnson returned to action after missing the opener with an ankle injury. He has three points.

Rapheal Davis, a Fort Wayne native, was in Purdue's starting lineup. He has four points, three rebounds and one steal.
