Lame and lamer

Wow, Tommy Tuberville. Not even Bob Knight did this, at least out in the open where God and everybody could see.

Slapping the headset off one of your assistants on TV, that was bad enough. If Tuberville doesn't get a rest-of-the-season sitdown minimum -- I don't think Texas Tech would go too far if it fired him -- you can start writing the script for "Spineless in Lubbock" right now.

Even lamer was Tuberville's explanation: That he was grabbing for the guy's shoulder to steer him off the field and just missed. Oh, please. You can watch the video of the incident with one eye closed and know that's not what he was doing.

No, he hauled off and slapped the guy, plain as day. And now, Tech needs to slap him.
