  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Four enshrinees named

IPFW announced the four newest members to be enshrined into the IPFW Athletics Hall of Fame.

Ashley (Ritchey) Ade, Ryan Steinbach, Kristin (Macdonald) Simpson and Fabiana (Souza) Shields will be inducted at noon Dec. 1 at the Steel /dynamics Keith E. Busse IPFW Alumni Center.

Ade, '03, has the third-fastest 5,000-meter time in women's cross country, and her 6,000-meter time is fourth best. Steinbach, '05, had a .345 career batting average with the baseball team and was drafted in the 20th round by the Baltimore Orioles. Simpson, '03, remains the all-time leading scorer in women's soccer history with 25 career goals and 58 points. Shields, '05, had 2,305 kills with the volleyball team, and had 621 kills in 2004.
