Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, is hosting international speaker Marie Helm at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10. She will give a lecture titled Overcoming the Culture of Fear. The event is sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist.
First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St., is hosting Daoud Nassar, founder of the Tent of Nations, at 7 p.m. Thursday. Nassars family is one of the last Christian Palestinian families in the Palestinian West Bank region. He will speak about resisting when the government and settlers threaten a persons land.
Pathway Community Church, 11910 Shearwater Run, is hosting a panel of pastors and lay leaders who will discuss race relations related to the presidency from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13. Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County, 602 E. Wayne St., is assembling 100 meals for military families in need at 9 a.m. Nov. 10. The boxes will be delivered to the 122nd Fighter Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard on Nov. 13. The meals serve eight people and cost $36.
