2 plead guilty to molestations

Two Allen County men admitted to child molesting Wednesday in separate cases in Allen Superior Court.

Robert Peterson, 20, of the 4100 block of Fairfield Avenue, pleaded guilty to a single charge of child molesting. Under the terms of a plea agreement, the judge will have full discretion for any prison time. Additional charges of child molesting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor will be dismissed when Peterson is sentenced.

Peterson was arrested and charged in February with having sex with a 12-year-old girl after plying her with alcohol, according to court documents.

In the other case, New Haven resident Brian Gaff, 47, pleaded guilty to child molesting. He admitted to molesting a 13-year-old girl. She told police Gaff threatened to take away her portable PlayStation if she told anyone what he did, according to court documents.

He faces 20 years in prison when he is sentenced. Under the terms of a plea agreement, additional counts of child molesting will be dismissed.
