  • Duty’s space to become Scotty’s
After three years and two other possible locations, Scott Wise has inked a deal to bring Scotty’s Brewhouse to Fort Wayne. The restaurant will move into 6282 W. Jefferson Blvd.

Madeleines Bakehouse closes doors today

Madelines Bakehouse, perhaps best known for its colorful macaroons and other European-style desserts, will close its doors today.

The bakery, located in Jefferson Pointe, opened two years ago. Amanda Pappas Uhl, managing member of the bakery, wrote on the bakery's Facebook page that it is closing due to health issues.

"Lately, through several conversations with my husband, my family, and my doctors, we've had to make a difficult decision. Wednesday will be our last day with a storefront at Jefferson Pointe," Pappas Uhl writes, adding that she hopes to eventually reopen.
