Warsaw police arrest teen on marijuana charge

Warsaw police said today they arrested a 17-year-old Warsaw Community High School student on a marijuana-possession charge after random K9 searches at both Warsaw middle schools.

The four K9s alerted only on bags in the industrial arts area at Lakeview Middle School, where the high-school student was taking classes, police said in a statement.

The boy was arrested and released to guardians, the statement said. It said Warsaw police were assisted by K9s from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and by Winona Lake police.
