•The Huntington County 4-H Fair Association has teamed with Salamonie Mills and Central States Grain, along with area farmers, for the Agriculture Helping 4-H fundraiser. The groups will visit area farmers to collect tax deductible grain donations, in which the proceeds will be used for infrastructure projects at the fair grounds for the 2013 4-H fair. Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana is providing “snap pants” at no cost to patients who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, live within the 11 Indiana counties served and will undergo surgical treatment. For more information, visit www.cancer-services.org.

Ambassadors sought

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is seeking young adults between the ages of 18 and 26 who will volunteer to document their experiences at Indiana’s state parks and reservoirs for the America’s State Parks Youth Ambassador program. To apply, email Ginger Murphy at gmurphy@dnr.IN.gov.
