A Kentucky auto supplier has sued Busche Enterprise Division Inc., alleging the Albion manufacturer failed to provide parts.
As a result of that breach of contract, General Motors Co. might have to halt production on vehicles that use the housing and gearbox covers, the lawsuit alleges. The disputed parts are used in the Cadillac ATS.
Nick Busche, who founded Busche Enterprise in 1997, said Tuesday his company stopped shipments to ZF Steering Systems LLC because the customer didn’t live up to a long-term agreement.
The civil suit, filed Friday, names Busche Enterprise and General Aluminum Mfg. Co., of Cleveland, as defendants.
A judge in U.S. District Court in Fort Wayne is scheduled to decide Sept. 27 whether the case will proceed.
