New Haven to spray for mosquitoes

The city of New Haven announced Tuesday it will spray for mosquitoes, weather permitting, throughout the New Haven area beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday.

The Meadowbrook and Lakes of Scarborough subdivisions will be sprayed, as well as various other areas throughout the city, the announcement said.

“To alleviate any concerns during this spraying period, we are asking residents to remain indoors while the spray crew is in your area.” Mayor McDonald said in a written statement.

If you don’t want the trucks to spray in front of your house, call the Utility Department at 748-7056 before 4 p.m. the day of spraying.
