Couple surrender in area meth case

Adkins
Anderson

A man and woman who fled from police after an undercover drug deal have turned themselves in, according to the Warsaw Police Department.

Brandon Adkins, 27, and Tiffany Anderson, 30, both of Warsaw, were each being held Wednesday on a felony charge of dealing methamphetamine.

Adkins' bail was $1 million, and Anderson's was $50,000.

On July 30, undercover Warsaw police officers took part in a drug deal with Adkins. Afterward, he pulled over for a traffic stop and sped away as officers approached the car, going north on Indiana 15.

A person jumped from the car, a 2007 Lexus, near County Road 900 North and Indiana 15. That person was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital and has been released.

Adkins and Anderson eluded police during that chase and did so again Sunday, when they fled from police in Tennessee.

The pair eventually contacted Warsaw detectives and arranged to surrender. On Tuesday, they were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.
