Grains futures fall, livestock prices rise

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures fell Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery fell 28.50 cents to $8.5675 a bushel; December corn fell 17 cents to $7.9225 a bushel; December oats fell 14.25 cents to $3.7050 a bushel; while November soybeans dropped 43 cents to $16.0075 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.85 cent to $1.2637 a pound; October feeder cattle added 2.60 cents to $1.4347 a pound; while October lean hogs rose 1.53 cent to 77.05 cents a pound.
