Auburn man arrested in Allen County death

A 33-year-old Auburn man has been arrested and is being held in connection to an Allen County death investigation.

Saturday morning, Allen County Sheriff's Department officers were called to a home in the 5300 block of Lonesome Oak Court after the body of a 42-year-old man was found inside the house by his friend, according a release from the sheriff's department.

As police investigated, they discovered that IPFW police arrested Michael R. Alexander on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement on Friday evening.

Alexander was driving a vehicle belonging to the man found dead. Alexander was then arrested on a charge of aggravated battery and is being held in the Allen County Jail without bond, according to the release.

The case remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff's Department.
