3 molesting counts facing resident, 39

A Fort Wayne man is accused of having sexual contact with an 11-year-old girl.

Leonel H. Arellano, 39, of the 3300 block of Lillie Street, was charged Thursday with three counts of child molesting. He has not been arrested.

According to court papers, the girl told authorities that Arellano started fondling her when she was 11 years old. She said it would happen when she wanted a snack or a ride somewhere.

She told authorities that he would touch himself while touching her and that a couple of times he made her touch him sexually, court papers stated.

The abuse began in February 2007 and continued until March 2011. The girl’s mother reported the abuse in December 2011 when she learned about it, court papers stated.

In an interview with police, Arellano denied fondling the girl, court papers said.
