I-69 closures canceled tonight

FORT WAYNE – The northbound lanes of Interstate 69 will not see brief, intermittent closures overnight tonight. The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Thursday that tonight’s work has been canceled.

Work at the Union Chapel Bridge will take place over the southbound lanes next week, using intermittent, 20-minute closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The interchange remains on schedule to open by late fall, with the exception of the on-ramp to northbound I-69 from Union Chapel Road. The entire project is expected to be finished by summer 2013.
