A couple was found dead Tuesday near Warsaw in what investigators said is an apparent homicide-suicide.
Police found James Willis Kinzer, 47, and his wife Jane Ellen Kinzer, 46, dead in a mobile home at 2789 S. Country Club Road inside Brown's Mobile Home Park, south of Warsaw.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department received an anonymous tip from a neighbor concerned about their well-being after the couple hadn't been seen for a couple of days, said Sgt. Chad Hill, sheriff's department spokesman.
Officers entered the home about 7:30 a.m. and found the two dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Kosciusko County Coroner John Sadler said it appears the deaths were the result of a homicide-suicide.
There was a lengthy suicide note found at the scene, police said, but they declined to release further details.
Hill said there was no history of violence between the two and that police had never been at the couple's home for any criminal investigation.
Police would not say who shot whom or who committed suicide.
Hill said police aren't often called to Brown's Mobile Home Park. He said the park has mobile homes that were recently vacated, but he attributed that to the sluggish economy.
The deaths remain under investigation.
